What is The Quiver Full Momma?

You might be asking yourself-- What exactly is "The Quiver Full Momma"?

What does that even mean?

Well, let me explain!

The Quiver Full Momma is based on scripture from Psalm 127:3-5 (ESV).

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.

Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!  He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate."

The Lord has blessed me and my husband with two precious little boys.  Currently, they are 5 and 7 years old.  

They have made my quiver full.  

They are my arrows.

They are what makes me "The Quiver Full Momma".

First, you might be asking yourself-- how can your quiver be full with only 2 arrows?  All I can say is, it's possible!

Your quiver may have 1 arrow or many arrows.

No matter how many arrows are in our quivers, God has blessed us richly.

(And to the women in waiting for their arrows, God sees you.  I'm praying over you.)

The Lord has entrusted us to raise our arrows.

Proverbs 22:6 (ESV) tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." 

While we can't guarantee our children's salvation and that they will follow the Lord with all of their hearts for all of their days, I believe that with consistent discipleship, creating a solid foundation, and seeking the Lord in our parenting, we can at least increase that probability.

And I don't know about you, but that's a huge longing of my heart and point of prayer for me-- for my children to truly know the Lord.  

They are our ministry.

The ministry of motherhood.
